About GTAV Membership

Q: How do I become a member of the GTAV?

A: You can join online by visiting our Membership page and selecting the membership type that best suits you. Once you complete the sign-up process, you'll have immediate access to member resources and benefits.

 

Q: What are the benefits of becoming a GTAV member?

A: GTAV members gain access to a supportive community of geography educators, exclusive resources, discounted event registration, professional learning opportunities, and our new online member community platform for sharing ideas and networking. Q: How do I renew my membership?

A: Log into your account, go to Member Centre, and select Renew Membership. You can update your details and payment information at the same time.

 

Q: Can I transfer my membership if I change schools?

A: Yes! You can update your school and contact details anytime through the Member Centre to ensure you stay connected.

 

Events & Professional Learning

Q: How do I register for GTAV events?

A: Visit our Events page, choose the event you'd like to attend, and follow the registration instructions. Members receive discounted rates as published on the event listing.

 

Q: Are GTAV events open to non-members?

A: Yes, non-members are welcome to attend most GTAV events, though membership provides significant savings and additional benefits.

 

Q: Will event recordings be available if I can't attend live?

A: Where possible, we provide recordings or resources to registered participants after the event. Please check the details for the events to ensure the session will be recorded.

 

Using the New Member Community Base Platform

Q: What is the GTAV Member Community Platform?

A: It's an online space where GTAV members can connect, collaborate, and share resources, ideas, and experiences. It's designed to support professional growth and make networking easy.

 

Q: How do I access the Member Community Platform?

A: Simply log in to the GTAV website using your member login. From there, you'll see the Member Community Base option in the menu.

 

Q: I'm a member but can't log in. What should I do?

A: If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot Password on the login screen to reset it. If you still have issues, please contact us at [email protected] for assistance.

 

Q: Do I need to update my profile before using the platform?

A: Yes, we recommend updating your profile so other members can connect with you and so you receive tailored content and event updates.

 

Resources and Online Shop

Q: I ordered a digital resource, how do I access it?

A: There are two ways you can access the digital PDF resource after you place your order:

  1. Click the download button on the order confirmation page.
  2. Use the download link provided in your order confirmation email.

If you are having any issues accessing the PDF, please contact the GTAV office for assistance.

 

Q: I have ordered an eBook, how do I access it?

A: GTAV eBook licences purchased via our online shop are hosted by Campion MyConnect2 and are processed within 7 days of your order being placed. If you have an existing MyConnect2 account, you'll receive an email advising when the title you have purchased has been added to your bookshelf. If you do not have an existing MyConnect2 account, Campion will create one for you and send you a confirmation email detailing your new login details and how to access your title/s.

We encourage those purchasing eBooks to check their spam/junk folders for these notifications.

Q: What is the role of the Administrator (formally known as the Primary Contact)?

A: The Administrator is responsible for renewing the school's membership and maintaining the list of teachers attached to the membership.

 

Q: Can our school membership have more than one Administrator?

A: Yes, a school can choose to have multiple Administrators who will all have the same access rights on the membership. 

 

Q: How do I add a Teacher to our School Membership?

A:  You can add teachers to your school's membership if you are an Administrator by:

  1. Login to the GTAV website.
  2. Select My Account.
  3. Click the link to you school (listed under your name).
  4. Select the Members Tab.
  5. Select "Click here to add a Member".

 

Q: How do I remove a Teacher from our School Membership?

A: Please email the GTAV team to request removal of members from your school listing.
